The los angeles-based label officially announces the debut of jerry lorenzo’s april 2021 slip-on. Fear of god expands its footwear catalogue for the season with a subtle and elegant interpretation of the mules known as “the california”.

Jerry lorenzo teased the silhouette earlier this year, when he posted a few shots of the sneaker being worn at adidas hq. His followers, and the team at highsnobiety, were immediately enthralled with the design. Mules and backless footwear seem to be on a huge come up at the moment, with seemingly every brand offering their own take on the divisive design.

Fear of god’s california is about as classy as they’ll come, keeping things simple and staying in line with the brand’s design language.
